[re]design

If I were to look for an example of bad design out there, I can find plenty...just drive down the road and they're everywhere! from billboards, signage, to ads on different trucking company. As a student in the graphic design field, when I see different examples of bad vs. good design I can intuitively pick them out in my head right away. Sometimes I tend to look at the bad design and try to [re]design a mental picture of what I would change if I were to work on the design. Its sort of like when one compare the differences between a cook and a world class chef. Both can cook but one has an edge over the other. There are something about good design that stands out, and again there are something about bad design that stands out. A good design to me is something that is fresh/new and convey the message in the simpliest way....its when the form and content of the design work together. a good design speak to a multiple audiences yet convey the same intended "core" message.... these are elements i believe that make a good design.
